Rocko's NEW FAMILY!!!

Well our Featured Dog Rocko certainly had a good day at Petsmart. Rocko is a wonderful pup who also happens to be completely deaf. Today, he found the family of his dreams at Petsmart. Complete with a huge fenced yard to run in, three wonderful kids to play ball with, a dog to pal around with....and most importantly after a hot day at Petsmart....AIR CONDITIONING!!!

OK, well maybe the air conditioning wasn't the MOST important part....but I'll bet anything Rocko was very thankful for it when he got home!!!

Little Miss Maddie Finds Her Forever Home!!

Little Ms. Maddie came into the shelter looking terrible. She was matted, she was dirty, and she needed some serious TLC. So the Shelter Vet gave her a medical clip and trim and she was like a different dog immediately. Full of love and affection, all this little girl wanted was to be around people and to be loved.

Today Maddie found the forever home of her dreams and she will now be splitting her time between her home locally and her "mountain" home where she plans to swim in the lake and enjoy a life of leisure! We couldn't be happier for Maddie and for her new home.

Mr. Muppet gets groomed and he gets a forever home!!!

Mr. Muppet came into the shelter looking like a matted MESS (see "before" picture to the right). Today, we took him to Petsmart to be groomed just before Adoption Days started (see "after" picture to the left). You could tell immediately that he felt SO much better once all that dirty and matted hair was gone and he could move around!! His little poofy tail started to bounce around, he was as happy as he could be. AND THEN....his new momma came by and scooped him up and took him home. So all in all, it was a GREAT day for Muppet.

ROCKO is the FEATURED dog at the Trenton Animal Shelter and he's looking for his FOREVER home!

Meet ROCKO!! Rocko is currently the featured dog at the Trenton Animal Shelter. Rocko is about 2 years old and he's completely deaf. It appears that he has been deaf since birth since he is very well adjusted to it. He doesn't get startled easily and he has just the sweetest most loveable personality. And he is gorgeous to boot! He seems to really enjoy relaxing but he also has a lot of spunk in him. He's quickly become a favorite with the shelter volunteers and we can't wait to find the right home for this special guy. He will need a family that is willing to learn hand signals and teach them to Rocko. I'm certain he will pick it up quickly, and being the owner of a deaf pup myself, I can tell you that they are just as wonderful and deserving of loving homes as dogs that can hear perfectly fine. Suzie the 40 lb Lapdog!!

Suzie is a young (still under a year old) female whippet/pit bull mix. As you can see from this video, she LOVES to snuggle up and get close and she believes that she is a tiny lap dog. She will hop right up in your lap and stay there all day if you'll let her. Suzie is up for adoption at the Trenton Animal Shelter. SOPHIE comes back to visit!!

Sophie is a wonderful pup who spent a couple of long months in the Trenton Animal Shelter about 6 months ago. But Sophie was patient, and it paid off because a wonderful couple took her home and she couldn't be happier. Today, Sophie and her Mom and Dad came back to visit us at our Adoption Days event at Petmsart (200 Commerce Blvd, Fairless Hills PA). We are there EVERY Sunday from 12-4pm showing adoptable dogs. MOCHA GOES HOME!!!

Our lovely little Mocha went home today with her new family. Mom, Dad, and new brother Patrick were thrilled to add her to their pack and we want to say a big thank you to them for giving Mocha what we know will be a wonderful life!
